Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the United States on Monday of causing the collapse of peace negotiations in Pakistan.
Araghchi arrived in Russia for a high-level meeting with President Vladimir Putin and discussed the diplomatic failure with state media. He stated that the United States undermined the previous round of negotiations by introducing excessive demands that prevented the parties from achieving their goals despite previous progress.
The Foreign Minister also highlighted the security of international shipping lanes. He identified safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz as a critical global priority while the United States and Iran continue to maintain rival blockades in the waterway.
