Bangladesh Government Announces Seven Day Holiday for Eid-ul-Azha

NEWS DESK: The government has declared a seven-day public holiday for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. The decision was finalized during a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday night, which was chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

According to sources from the Cabinet Division, the Eid holidays will take place from May 25 to May 31, 2026. However, the weekly holiday previously scheduled for Saturday, May 23, has been officially cancelled.

The Cabinet Division stated that all government offices will remain open on May 23 and May 24. These two days will serve as regular working days before the week-long festive break begins.
